My Therapist Says Hot Damn
My Therapist Says Hot Damn are a vodka guzzling, multi-headed, instrument smashing feminist punk band set to blow your tiny minds. Hailing from London, this 5 piece set out to make riot grrrl music but ended up sounding a bit like the kind of music that would be made if Ari Up had a lovechild with your mum after a night out on the town. MTSHD enjoy terrible jokes, dancing like mums and working through their deep-seated psychological issues.
LUCIA LIP, hailing from the suburbs of Paris, France with italian and german roots, started in the 2010s in Berlin, Germany as a self taught hardworking artist. Combining the world of catchy danceable electronic music with her remarkable and uncompromising voice and a live performance that is beyond expectations, she’s been described as the “Donna Summer from hell”. She can be considered as a riot grrrl with a punk attitude on its own. Lucia Lip is taking her do-it-yourself approach to a new level and produces, manages, writes and designs all the music on her own besides running her own label and distributing her own releases. After a bunch of EP’s and singles she released her new album “Your Motor” on CD and tape in march 2013 through LIPPING RECORDS. Consisting of 7 top notch tracks, “Your Motor” delivers a fresh and renewing sound, showing that Lucia Lip is capable of becoming a strong and genre boundaries pushing musician.
Cut Loose (mashups & booty bass, Berlin/Aotearoa)
Cut Loose plays only the best bumpin-grindin-bouncin-shakin-genre-f**king… good-time party music! Heavy bass, soaring melodies, phat beats and positive lyrics. Upbeat radical anthems, quality pop, and underground electronica from around the globe – just the right mix to raise the roof and get everyone jumpin’. Celebrating the many faces of resistance to the current global regime, Cut Loose spins music for all the anti-nuclear family: freedom-fighting freaks, geeks, and criminal queers. As Emma Goldman is often misquoted, “If I can’t dance it’s not my revolution!”
